Profile
Ian was born and raised in Camrose. He studied political science at the University of Lethbridge and obtained his Law degree from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario.
Ian was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1983 and has practiced law in Camrose ever since. He has been a partner in our firm since 1988.
Ian has established a thriving solicitor’s practice with an emphasis on wills and estate matters, corporate and commercial matters, and real estate.
Ian has actively volunteered in the community, having been a founding member of Rose City Roots Music Society and past board member, past member of St. Mary’s Hospital Board of Directors, past member Camrose Rotary Club, elected councillor for City of Camrose from 1989 – 2004, past board member Camrose Public Library, past board member Camrose Regional Exhibition, past board member Camrose Main Street Project, and past board member Junior Achievement (Camrose). Ian regularly advises a number of community based organizations on a pro bono basis.
In his spare time, Ian enjoys hiking, travel, music, and spending time with his wife, Cheryl. Ian and Cheryl raised four children.
